Did I just hear you complain about…
Last night Pete & I watched ”New Girl” definitely not a PG! family type of show, nevertheless it was funny and I did Laugh out Loud!
So there’s one male character who’s a wannabe and he tries to hook up with every girl who breathes! What I liked was how they bash him for his crude behavior and more so, how his guy roommates keep him accountable for it with what they’ve dubbed a “Dou... B..” Jar. Every time he makes a “DB” comment or displays “DB” behavior, he has to pay up and contribute to the Jar! For example, the “New Girl” was crying her eyes out over a breakup and he proceeds to take his shirt off to show off his pecks, I would imagine to take her mind off things…lol
So, I got to thinking… hmmm, this could really work well in my house for all the whiners and complainers! So I decide to surprise the first one I came in contact with last night who had the audacity to complain. I figured this would be the perfect time to implement a new rule in our house!
So here it is ~ If you express any form of ungratefulness, especially in the form of a blatant complaint about anything, for example a “slow computer connection” you are now going to be fined and have to add money (or IOU that will be collected on!! lol) to OUR Jar, which is simply named the “Ungrateful Jar”! I already collected $5.00 last night for the “slow connection” complaint and I can’t wait to see what turns up later on when we get into full swing action around here… homework, making dinner, cleanup, etc!
Which leads me to my Twitter post of earlier today ”@facebook, I don’t understand what all the complaints are about #newfacebook, its #change, its #growth, its endless possibilities! I’m #grateful!”
FACEBOOK, I am grateful for your amazing talent, your insight, your technical skills and your vision! I am grateful for the free advertising, the ability to “see” my friends and family every day whether near or far and for all the wonderful friends I have made since that monumental day when you rolled out a tool that would change society and how we communicate forever.
I am grateful for the day in 2004 when Mark Zuckerberg a 19-year-old sophomore at Harvard started a Web service from his dorm. A young man who wasn’t afraid to be bold, think big and manifest his then vision to what we now know as Facebook! I am grateful for your tenacity and the product I use today to promote my business, connect with friends, be inspired, share a laugh, share information, raise awareness and gain new knowledge every day!
Your boldness has changed society forever!!
Thank you Facebook, no complaints here…
Extremely grateful,
